The National Ambulance Service has honoured a man for saving the life of a young girl on a West Kerry beach.

John Timlin was presented with a First Responder’s Medal and a letter of commendation.

It was for saving the life of 15-year-old Shona Sinnott from Dublin at Fermoyle Strand on August 4th.
