A man has died following a crash outside Killarney overnight.
The single vehicle collision occurred just after 2am on the N72 at Calfmount, near Barraduff.
A man in his 20s was pronounced dead at the scene.
His body has been removed to the mortuary at University Hospital Kerry where a post-mortem examination will take place in due course.
The coroner has been notified.
The road remains closed from Lissivigeen Roundabout to Barraduff for a technical examination.
An Garda Siochána say local diversions are in place via the R570 Barraduff to Glenflesk road.
Killarney Gardaí are appealing to road users who were travelling along the route between 1 and 3am, who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) to contact them.
