Solicitor Eimear Griffin from the office of Pádraig O’Connell, applied for bail for Mr Tyler, but the state objected.

Ms Griffin said her client is engaging in mental health and addiction services and would adhere to any bail conditions to continue to engage with both.

Bail was refused on the seriousness of the alleged offending, and the risk of further offending.
