A major supermarket chain has announced 37 new roles across its Kerry stores.

German retailer Aldi, which has seven stores in the county, is embarking on a national expansion, which will comprise over 1,000 new roles nationwide.

Aldi Ireland today announced it’s seeking to recruit 37 new employees across its seven stores in Kerry, all of which are permanent positions.

The new jobs come as Aldi continues to grow its store network across the country.

Currently operating seven stores in Kerry, Aldi plans on opening new stores in Cahersiveen and Killarney as part of its store opening programme.

Aldi has witnessed a surge in sales and customer footfall in the past 12 months, with sales growing by over 15%.

It says additional staff are required to help meet ongoing customer demand across its network.
