The Labour Party spokesperson on migration says the tourism sector and economy in Kerry would collapse without migrants working in this county.

Tipperary TD Alan Kelly criticised Fianna Fáil, Fine Gael, and Sinn Féin in the Dáil this week, claiming they have been trying to ride both horses in relation to immigration.

Deputy Kelly has asked for a positivity campaign around migrants in Ireland and the work that they do, especially as sometimes work jobs Irish people would not.

He says for the first time in his career, he is hearing from migrants that they’re afraid of what’s happening in Ireland in relation to the language being used on immigration.

The Labour spokesperson on migration says people coming from other countries are essential to sectors like healthcare and tourism.
