A Killarney GP is warning against reliance on antigen tests to check for COVID-19.
Dr Gary Stack says if a person has symptoms, it’s not an antigen test but a PCR one that they should be taking.
He says antigen tests should be used by a person who’s well but intending on meeting a vulnerable person or group of people, to ensure they don’t inadvertently spread the virus.
