A Killarney GP who had concerns about the number of COVID vaccines his practice was to receive says three quarters of what was requested has arrived.
Dr Gary Stack was informed last week by the HSE that just one third of Pfizer vaccines doses requested by his practice would arrive this week.
Had this happened, it would have meant curtailing vaccination to only those over 75 in his practice.
However, in a tweet this morning, Dr Stack said his practice received 32 vials, which means he can offer vaccines to 224 people.
He says the delivery, while smaller than what was requested, is still an increase on the initial projection.
