Killarney councillor says local authority response to Fossa project concerns is not good enough

A councillor says Kerry County Council's response to issues raised in connection with roadworks at Fossa have failed to assuage public concerns.

Independent Councillor for the Killarney Municipal District, Niall 'Botty' O'Callaghan , says the council executive could have had a better communications approach.

He believes the layout of the new N72 Fossa road project may be appropriate for built-up, urban areas in cities like Dublin or Cork.

However, Cllr O'Callaghan says it doesn't take into account local factors.
