Killarney Chamber of Tourism and Commerce has expressed concern that no commitment was given in Budget 2023 to extend the 9% hospitality VAT rate beyond February.

Chamber President, Niall Kelleher says they’ll be lobbying intensively to ensure the lower rate is continued, saying it’s essential to protect jobs in the industry.

The chamber has welcomed some initiatives in the budget, particularly the energy supports for businesses.
