A Kerry TD says he raised the issue of serving alcohol in outdoor seating areas in October of last year.
Independent TD Danny Healy-Rae is calling for urgent clarification on the matter from government.
Deputy Healy-Rae says he thought serving alcohol in outdoor areas was accounted for due to the push for people to have an outdoor summer.

He believed this was part of the emergency public health powers, and had been communicated to gardaí.
The Independent TD says the answer he got to his parliamentary question was unclear, and is calling for clarity from government today.
