At present, Kerry Social Farming receives €100,000 per year from the Department of Agriculture.
The group is a community led service providing farming and social inclusion opportunities to people with physical and intellectual disabilities,as well as those with acquired brain injuries and mental health difficulties.
The group is hoping to recieve €200,000 from the department from 2027 onwards.
Kerry Social Farming is also hoping to expand its reach from 40 farmers and 60 participants to 80 farmers and over 100 participants.
