Everything that could be done, to save the life of a teenage boy who died in West Kerry yesterday, was done.
That's according to Gerry Christie of the Kerry Mountain Rescue Team.
The 16-year-old from North Cork fell near the waterfall at Pedlar's Lake on the Conor Pass.
The alarm was raised shortly before 20 to four yesterday afternoon, and a major multi-agency operation began immediately.
Around 30 members of Dingle Coast Guard and Kerry Mountain Rescue Team took part.
Gardaí say a post-mortem examination will take place and a file will be prepared for the office of the coroner.
