A Kerry mother is appealing to the HSE to provide respite care for children with complex medical needs.
Catherine O’Connor from Castleisland’s eleven year-old son, Enis, has autism and Moyamoya disease.
The rare blood condition has caused Enis to have strokes, and acquire brain injuries, which have resulted in him behaving aggressively.
She claims they’ve been told they could be waiting between 18 months and two years for respite.
