Kerry International Film Festival (KIFF) has launched a new film club.
KIFF Festival Programming Director Amy Louise O’Callaghan says many successful Irish film rarely screen in Kerry, and never in Killarney.
The KIFF Film Club will operate from March to May and from November to January to combat this.
This month, the winner of the IFTA for Best Film and Best Director, Christy, will be screened at Cinema Killarney.
While in April, the documentary Gerry Adams: A Ballymurphy Man will be shown at the same venue.
Further screenings will be announced later in the year.
The KIFF Film Club is supported by Screen Ireland through the Audience Development Fund.
In addition to the new KIFF Film Club, audiences can continue to see curated cinema through the already established Siamsa Tíre Screen Club, which remains active in Tralee.
