Gardaí in Kerry are warning the public of scam callers claiming to be from the Department of Social Protection.
Numerous people around the county have been contacted by scammers on an 022 number or a mobile number and they are being asked for their PPS number.
Anyone who has been caught out by this scam can contact the Department of Social Protection on 1890 800 024 to make them aware.
