The Kerry GAA County Board has won a bronze Fondúireacht Sheosaimh Mhic Dhonncha medal for promoting the Irish language.
Five county boards which took part in a special development strand of the foundation received such awards.
Three county boards won bronze medals while two more took silver.
Liaison officer Tomás Ó hAinifein accepted the honour at Croke Park on behalf of the Kerry GAA.
Fondúireacht Sheosaimh Mhic Dhonncha awards were also presented to 53 clubs nationwide.
The foundation is a partnership scheme between Glór na nGael and the GAA to support GAA clubs wishing to further the Irish language in their communities.
It provides grants to clubs to help them achieve their Irish language goals, who then may get recognition for various levels of achievement.
Kerry GAA's Tomás Ó hAinifein collected the award from the Chief Executive of Glór na nGael, Lorcán Mac Gabhann; Chairperson of the GAA Irish language committee, Áine Uí Choinn; and sports broadcaster, Gráinne McElwain.
