Local authorities in many parts of country are on alert as people are being warned of very heavy rain in the east and south.
A yellow alert has been issued for ten counties, including Kerry, from 9am this morning.
Road users are being warned to be extremely careful near rivers, bridges, underpasses or any dips that you might be familiar with on dry days
