Kerry County Council is examining options for the provision of a car park at a West Kerry beach.
The information was provided in response to a question by Cllr Breandán Fitzgerald at the recent meeting of the Castleisland-Corca Dhuibhne Municipal District.
The Fianna Fáil councillor asked the local authority for a progress update on parking at Minard Beach.
In response, the council says it’s examining land availability in the context of environmental and archaeological constraints of the area.
It advised any car parking provision at the location would require funding sources.
