A Kerry-based family-owned recycling company has won the Waste Recovery Operator and Facility Award.
KWD Recycling was recognised at the Repak Resource Awards 2025, Ireland’s National Environmental Awards.
Its new Killarney facility to recover recyclables from general waste, now diverts over 10% of plastics and 50% of organics from disposal.

KWD Recycling says it has plans to boost this further, to add metal separation, and to develop its own Irish plastic recycling facility.
The company was also commended for its support of the community, including its support of the annual County Clean-Up.
