Kerry angling group raises €10,000 for local charity
Anglers Brothers Kevin and Hugh Healy, from Mallow, Co Cork, setting off for The Lough Léin Anglers Association Open Wet Fly Charity Angling Competition. This is the 37th anniversary of the holding of this most popular event.  The organisation chosen to benefit from this year’s Charity is the Irish Wheelchair Association (Killarney/South Kerry Branch). This is a voluntary body and the funds raised will go towards financing a wide range of services for wheelchair users and people with mobility issues including supports, social events and making interventions on their behalf.  To date the Charity has raised in excess of €300,000 for local and national charities. A Kerry angling group has raised almost €10,000 at an annual charity angling event in April.

The Lough Léin Anglers Association's Open Wet Fly Charity Angling Competition raised the funds for the Killarney and South Kerry branch of the Irish Wheelchair Association.

To date the Charity has raised in excess of €300,000 for local and national charities.
