Council proposes to close North Kerry road for three weeks

Kerry County Council is proposing to close a North Kerry road to public traffic for three weeks.

The proposed road closure is the L-2012 Farmers Bridge to Caherleaheen Road from its junction with Farmers Bridge to its junction with the L-6548 Aherns Road, Caherleaheen.

The road is to close from 8.15am to 5pm daily between July 11th to August 5th to facilitate storm water drainage works,

Alternative routes will be signposted and local access will be provided for emergency services and local residents.

Objections can be made in writing or by email to [email protected] by tomorrow, June 21st.

Traffic travelling from Caherleaheen to Farmer's Bridge can detour by travelling Southbound on the N70 and accessing the L-2018 at Quills Cross.

Alternatively, Farmer's Bridge can be accessed from the N22 Tralee Bypass.

Traffic travelling from Farmers Bridge to Caherleaheen can detour via the L-2018 to Quills Cross and then travel Northbound on the N70 as far as its junction with the L-2012.
