UHK is among the five hospitals which experienced highest increases in endoscopy and colonoscopy waiting lists in a year.
That’s according to figures from the National Treatment Purchase Fund at the end of December 2025.
It shows there was a 1.4% increase at University Hospital Kerry in adult inpatient day cases in twelve months, while the figure for children decreased from 13 to 11.
The Irish Patients Associations says the data shows the outpatient figures at UHK worsened in the year for adults and children.
Nationally, more than 40,000 people are waiting more than a year and half to be seen.
