An Bord Pleanála has sought further information on plans for the new Foynes to Limerick Road.
The proposed development includes the Adare Bypass, and incorporates the Foynes to Rathkeale Protected Road Scheme, the Attyflin Motorway Scheme, and the Foynes Service Area Scheme.
Limerick City and County Council submitted a planning application for it directly with An Bord Pleanála last December.

The board has recently written to the council seeking further information, and a response is currently being prepared.
The details were revealed by Transport Infrastructure Ireland in response to a parliamentary question from Kerry Independent TD Michael Healy-Rae.
