Illegal sales of kegs on the increase in Kerry

Illegal sales of kegs are on the increase in Kerry.

That’s according to Garda Inspector Gearóid Thompson from Killarney Garda Station, who says the issue has been brought to their attention.

The Garda Inspector says these illegal sales are coming from off licences, pubs and the black market trade as well as through online sales.

He says this type of activity is against the law and is in breach of the Finance Act of 1910.

Garda Inspector Gearóid Thompson says they are conducting checks to curb the issue.
