The agency tasked with attracting foreign direct investment into Ireland conducted 62 site visits in Kerry with overseas companies since 2015.
That's according to figures released by the Department of Enterprise and Employment in response to a parliamentary question by Deputy Malcolm Byrne.
IDA Ireland carried out 5,302 site visits with overseas companies nationwide between 2015 and 2024.
Just over 1 per cent (1.17%)of these were in Kerry.
The IDA stated that site visits are only one measure of a company’s interest in a particular location and "may not necessarily be a true measure of the overall level of foreign direct investment (FDI) activity in a ... county".
