The Housing Finance Agency (HFA) supported the delivery of 38 social and affordable houses in Kerry in 2024.
The HFA is a State-owned body that provides financing to Local Authorities, Approved Housing Bodies and Higher Education Institutions.
The purpose of funding from the Housing Finance Agency is to support the delivery of social and affordable housing.
The figures in the agency’s 2024 annual report show that a record €1.3 billion was advanced nationwide to Approved Housing Bodies and local authorities.
Across the country, HFA financing delivered more than 4,500 homes, an increase of 17% on the previous year.
The state-owned body says demand for loans remains high, with €709 million already advanced in the first half of 2025 to boost social and affordable housing.
HFA loan financing supported the delivery of 4,524 homes in 21 counties in 2024, 38 which were in Kerry.
The highest number of HFA supported homes were in Dublin, with 2,223, followed by 456 in Cork, 251 in Louth and 244 in Galway
