Grants worth over €70,000 awarded to Kerry seafood enterprises

Grants worth over €70,000 have been awarded to seafood enterprises in Kerry.

19 aquaculture and seafood processing enterprises around the country have been awarded grants under the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund Programme.

Realt Na Mara Shellfish Limited has been allocated almost €64,000 (€63,695), supporting a total investment of almost €160,000 (€159,237) to purchase a barge, teleporter and generator.

A grant of €7,000 (€7,009) has been awarded to Sam Lowes to set up a new oyster farm in Kenmare Bay, as part of a total investment of €14,000 (€14,019)

While Carl Daly has been awarded an EMFF grant of over €2,000 (€2,231) to upgrade mussel floatation barrels, with the total investment reaching over €5,000 (€5,580).
