Gardaí appeal for witnesses in relation to fatal Killarney crash

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses in relation to the fatal road traffic collision that occurred on the Ross Road in Killarney yesterday.

In particular, gardaí are asking anyone who may have seen a 95-KY registration green Toyota Corolla saloon in Killarney town between 12.45am – 1.15am on Wednesday  to come forward to them.

Anyone who may have dash cam footage is also asked to make this available to gardaí.

The single vehicle collision occurred at approximately 1.10am. The driver of the car, 14-year-old Thomas Healy from the Gap of Dunloe, was pronounced dead at the scene.

A passenger, a teenage boy, is in a serious but stable condition at University Hospital Kerry.

The vehicle was subject to interaction with gardaí prior to the collision, and the matter has been referred to GSOC.
