Garda conducting search for missing man in Kenmare

Gardaí are seeking the public's assistance in tracing the whereabouts of a 56-year-old Kenmare man.

 

Michael Gaine was reported missing from his home yesterday, Friday March 21st.

Michael, who also goes by Mike, was last seen in Kenmare town at approximately 11:00am on Thursday March 20th .

He is described as being approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall with a stocky build, brown/grey hair and a bushy beard.

 

He was last seen wearing an orange woolly hat, black fleece, blue jeans and black boots.

A coordinated search started at 9am Saturday morning with help from locals.

Anyone with information on Michael's whereabouts is asked to contact Killarney Garda Station on 064 667 1160, the Garda Confidential Line at 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station.

 

Radio Kerry understands that the search conducted on Friday was in an area outside the town on land near the N71 ring of Kerry road between the town and Molls Gap.
