The new District Court judge for Kerry was welcomed to Tralee District Court this morning.
This morning is Judge Carol Anne Coolican’s first sitting in Kerry, having been assigned to District No.17 (County Kerry) last month, after years of serving in Limerick.
Judge Coolican replaces the outgoing Judge David Waters, who was assigned to Cork City.
Judge Coolican said it was lovely to be back home in Kerry, and she asked for patience as she gets used to the Kerry ways again.
She was welcomed by representatives for the court staff, An Garda Síochána, and the legal practitioners.
