Significant progress has been made regarding the school capital project for a North Kerry national school.
St Brigid’s NS Duagh has reached practical completion on the project, that involves an extension to build four new Special Education Teaching (SET) rooms.
Practical completion is the point in a construction project when a building is substantially finished and can be used for its intended purpose.
This means that students and teachers can now avail of the new SET rooms, providing children with additional educational needs with extra space, resources and support.
The announcement was made by Minister for Education and Youth Hildegarde Naughton, and has been welcomed by Fianna Fáil TD Michael Cahill and Independent TD Danny Healy-Rae
