People in Kerry who wish to volunteer in Europe or at home can now apply for a programme that will help and support them.
The European Parliament has approved a new volunteering programme, the European Solidarity Corps, which is worth more than one billion euro.
It funds travel costs, accommodation, meals and medical insurance for volunteers.

Volunteering activities include helping rebuild communities devastated by earthquake or floods, supporting asylum seekers and tackling environmental and climate challenges.
