€2,000 allocated to print brochure about Kerry bogs

€2,000 has been allocated to print a brochure about bogs in Kerry.

NEWKD will receive the funding to design and print a brochure of the local history of the bogs in Kerry to include maps, history, types of peat, existing and potential future usage, habitats, wildlife and vegetation.

Green Party representative in Kerry Cleo Murphy says this is a great initiative by the NEWKD to spread an appreciation of Kerry bogs, adding it’ll lend to a greater understanding of the importance of bogs, their habitat, wildlife and vegetation.
