The director of corporate services at Kerry County Council is retiring after over 40 years of service.
Christy O’Connor is director of Corporate Services and also served as manager of the Castleisland Corca Dhuibhne MD.
Councillors praised him for his work and help during his time in Kerry County Council during a special meeting hearing from potential Presidential candidates yesterday and they wished him well in his retirement.

Christy O’Connor told the meeting he’d received great support and friendship from both staff and members of the council over years.
His family has a long tradition of working in local government, and he said he was very proud to have worked in Kerry County Council.
