An Bord Pleanála will decide on a planning application for a 12-turbine windfarm in North Kerry later this year.

Shronowen Wind Farm Limited has applied to the planning body for permission to develop a windfarm in Ballyline West, Coolkeragh, Dromalivaun and Tullamore.

The application comprises 12 wind turbines, a substation, a grid connection and ancillary site works.

The application is seeking a ten-year planning permission for the 30-year wind farm, across Ballyline West, Coolkeragh, Dromalivaun and Tullamore.

An environmental impact assessment report and natura impact statement have been prepared, both of which can be viewed on the An Bord Pleanála website.

The application can also be viewed at shronowenwindfarmplanning.ie.

An Bord Pleanála will decide on the case by July 15th.
