Damage during road improvement works caused water outage in North Kerry

Irish Water says damage caused during roadworks resulted in an outage in North Kerry yesterday.

The national utility says the contractor working on the road improvement scheme in the Cahirdown area of Listowel damaged a water main on the footpath last night.

Water Services crew were on site early this morning and are currently working on the repair.

Irish Water says the supply should be restored before lunchtime.
