Irish Water says dedicated water service crews are working to repair the burst as quickly and as safely as possible and to restore water supply to homes and businesses in the affected areas.

Vulnerable customers who have registered with Irish Water will receive direct communications from the utility for planned and unplanned outages lasting more than four hours.

Irish Water's customer care helpline is open 24/7 on 1800 278 278 and customers can also contact it on Twitter @IWCare with any queries.
