Kerry County Council has been urged to input traffic calming measures along a busy section of road in South Kerry.
Independent councillor Dan McCarthy tabled the motion at the recent Kenmare Municipal District meeting.
He asked the council to consider putting a table top ramp along the R569 at Killowen, Kenmare.
Cllr McCarthy says it should be located at the pedestrian crossing near the entrance to Kenmare GAA club.
In response the council said the proposal will be considered for submission to the Department of Transport for funding under the local road safety improvement works scheme.
