Kerry County Council is reviewing the possibility of providing car parking spaces near a West Kerry beach.
It follows a motion at the recent Castleisland-Corca Dhuibhne MD meeting from Sinn Féin councillor, Robert Brosnan.
He asked the council if provision could be made for a parking area near the old post office in Brandon.
In response, the council advised it owns a small area of land in the vicinity which could facilitate an amenity area with beach access and parking.
Kerry County Council said it will review potential funding sources to progress the project through design, environmental and planning processes.
