Cost of building and infrastructure delays are major obstacles to housing delivery in Kerry

The cost of building and delays with infrastructure are two major obstacles to the delivery of housing in Kerry.

That’s according to Kerry estate agent Paul Stephenson, of Sherry Fitzgerald Stephenson Crean.

He says it’s very expensive to build at the moment, and the market then bears the brunt of it.

He says costs are unfortunately only going to increase further:

Paul Stephenson says delays with infrastructure like Uisce Éireann connections are also delaying construction, even when developers have the land and have planning to build.
