A computer model being developed as part of the new drainage plan for Killarney Municipal District is due to be completed by the end of the year.
Arup Consulting Engineers are developing the plan on behalf of Irish Water.
Surveys are being carried out of the existing network to develop a computer model of the sewer system which will then be used to check different flow conditions.

The plan will be used to inform future improvements to the network and funding applications.
The update followed a motion at the recent Killarney Municipal District meeting by Cathaoirleach Marie Moloney.
