CNN star says Emmy nod isn't as sweet as coming home to Kerry

An Emmy nomination is sweet but not as sweet as coming home to Cahersiveen.

That's according to CNN correspondent Donie O'Sullivan who's been nominated for an Emmy, the world's most prestigious TV awards.

The Kerry man's being recognised for telling the story of a woman who was falsely accused of bringing COVID-19 to the United States.

The 30-year-old returned to Cahersiveen this week for the first time since December 2019.

Donie says he's over the moon about the Emmy nomination but nothing beats coming home to his family and friends.
