A Kerry county councillor has claimed Castleisland is the poor relation when it comes to road sweepers.
Cllr Charlie Farrelly told the Castleisland Corca Dhuibhne Municipal District meeting there are six road sweepers in Killarney but none in the Castleisland Electoral Area.
He urged the local authority to buy a small sweeper for the area, which he says is badly needed.

Kerry County Council says any consideration for such a request will have to be made in the context of the adopted street cleaning budget.
