The Tralee branch of Citizens Information is today celebrating the 50th anniversary of the service's network all over Ireland.
Citizens Information provides a free, impartial and confidential service to the public on a wide range of areas; including social welfare and employment rights, health services, housing, education, family matters and consumer rights.
The service was initially staffed by volunteers, but now has several full-time staff in Kerry, with offices in Tralee, Killarney and Cahersiveen.
Events are being held at branches all over Ireland this week to mark the half-century milestone, with a gathering at the Tralee office on Bridge Lane, taking place this afternoon between 2 and 4pm.
