Castleisland river walk is still open for public use

Castleisland's river walk remains open to the public.

Kerry County Council confirmed this at a recent meeting of the Castleisland/Corca Dhuibhne Municipal District.

MD manager John Breen says the council is aware that somebody placed a closed sign at the entrance, however it's still open for public use.

Mr Breen acknowledged that maintenance is needed at the local walking route as it's now overgrown.
