Gardaí say the Castleisland to Ballydesmond road is closed following a serious accident.
At least two vehicles are involved; the crash was reported to Gardaí at 10 to 5 this evening.
It is not yet known how many people are injured but emergency services including ambulances are at the scene.

It’s expected the road will be closed for some time and motorists are being asked to avoid the area.
