Gardaí have detained a car in mid-Kerry after discovering its tax had expired over four years ago.
Members of the Kerry Roads Policing Unit were on duty in Glenbeigh this morning.
They detained one car after discovering the tax expired more than four years ago, while another car had no NCT and the driver of that car had no insurance.
During this operation in Glenbeigh, Gardaí also caught an e-scooter driver speeding; the speed limit for e-scooters is 20km per hour.
Both cars and the e-scooter were detained by Gardaí.
It comes as Gardaí begin a high-visibility roads operation this bank holiday weekend focusing on speeding, phone use and driving under the influence.
