There are calls for the newly appointed head of US aid to address Kerry County Council in the future.
US President Joe Biden has appointed Samantha Power as head of US aid.
Fine Gael councillor Jim Finucane says Ms Power has good Kerry links and believes she would be a constant friend of the county.

At the monthly meeting of Kerry County Council, he called for the council to write to Samantha Power and invite her to address them.
Cathaoirleach of the council, councillor Patrick Connor Scarteen told the meeting he’d been in touch with the Department of Foreign Affairs with the same request.
