There is a call for immediate action to meet the funding needs of news services on independent radio in Ireland.
The Independent Broadcasters of Ireland briefed politicians on the issue in Leinster House today.
It warned that reform of the funding model for public sector broadcasting needs to be more than just about RTÉ.
