Business women throughout Kerry were recognised for their inspiration and success at the annual Network Ireland Kerry awards.
The event, which celebrates the hard work and achievements of businesswomen around the county, took place in the Rose Hotel last night.
Eight main awards were presented last night.
The established businesswomen award was won by Susan Quirke Crowley of Mounthawk Montessori School Group, while Linda O’Mahoney Logan of Leadership 360 won the solo businesswoman award as well as the networker of the year award.
The employee shining star award was won by Brid O’Connor from CSG, while Jiska Healy of Yesca’s Flowers took home the creative professional award.
Sarah Farrar of AINMHÍ was named as the emerging businesswoman, while the RDI Hub’s Megan Daly-Tyrell won the employee rising star award and MTU’s Katherine O’Sullivan won the STEM professional award.
A special recognition award was presented to Ciara, Saoirse and Laoise Murphy, who won the BT Young Scientist competition earlier this year.
In the STEM professional category Susan Crean of Susan Crean Dental and Facial Aesthetics was high commended and Dr Sara Morrissey Tucker of MTU was named as one to watch.
In the creative professional category Michelle Lynch of smallpaintings.ie was named as one to watch, while in the networker of the year category Michelle Walsh of New Body & Soul was highly commended and Brigeen O’Sullivan was named as one to watch.
In the emerging businesswoman category Zhaia Landers of Wild Atlantic Aways was highly commended and Letita Fealy of Lotus Optimisation was named as one to watch.
Entrepreneur and broadcaster Norah Casey gave the keynote address in which she spoke about leaving an abusive relationship, how she became resilient and the importance of celebrating success.
The winners will now represent Kerry at the national awards in September.
